Egypt allocates LE3.5B to purchase equipment in FY2021/22

CAIRO – 24 February 2022: Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawy stated Monday that LE3.5 billion ($218.75 million) have been allocated to the purchase of 1,279 equipment in FY2021/22.

Those include garbage trucks, vacuum trucks, heavy transport vehicles, loaders, excavators, paving equipment, fire engines, civil protection and traffic gear.

As for the breakdown, 723 would go to Alexandria, Matrouh, and Beheira, 369 to Beni Suef, Fayoum, Menya, Asyut, New Valley, and Red Sea, and 102 to Sharqia, Ismailiyah, Suez, and Port Said.
