In pics: A tour in Aswan after 2022 Visual Identity project launch

CAIRO – 9 February 2022: et provides its readers a photo tour in Upper Egypt’s city of Aswan after the accomplishment of the visual identity project that combines nobility of the past and the authenticity of the present.

Modern designs stemming from the city’s history, civilization and ancient heritage were found on the streets, serving a comprehensive reference that reflects the uniqueness of the city and preserves heritage values ​​in the visual elements that affect the impression of citizens and visitors to the city and enhance the value Aswan tourism.

The visual identity project in the city of Aswan will contribute significantly to showing Aswan in an advanced way that matches the development in various countries of the world.

The implementation of the visual identity project in the city of Aswan  comes in light of the presidential mandate to generalize the visual identity initiative in all governorates, and to translate this into a visual identity with murals using a set of elements that are designed to be in line with the visual identity of the governorate.

The visual identity project included the work of beautifying the obelisk by replacing and renewing granite slabs and painting the golden triangular top, raising the efficiency of lighting and putting the Aswan name on its base in both Arabic and English, re-painting and redrawing the banners of some companies and organizations to enter the visual identity system.

The “visual identity” project was presented by a group of youth from the German University in Cairo (GUC) during the ceremony to conclude the activities of the “Week of Upper Egypt,” during which he inaugurated several national projects late December 2021.

The visual identity of Aswan represents the beginning of  a series of visual identity for the Egyptian governorates.
