CAIRO - 5 February 2022: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry underlined Egypt's support for the Palestinian cause, highlighting the importance of paving the ground to resume negotiations in order to establish an independent Palestinian state.
He made the remarks on Saturday during a meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohamed Shtayyeh on the fringe of the African Union Summit.
The meeting tackled the latest Palestinian developments, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez said.
