40 tourists rescued from drowning south of Hurghada

HURGHADA - Egypt - 12 July 2017: Naval forces and Rescue and Environmental Protection Society (REPS) rescued 40 foreign tourists from drowning in Sahl Hashish, south of Hurghada.

A tourist launch carrying about 40 British and German tourists drowned after it was gutted by fire, REPS Chairman Hassan Tayyeb said.

Tayyeb said all tourists were saved and no casualties were reported.
