Egypt condemns Houthis’ ballistic missile attack against UAE

CAIRO- 31 January 2022: Egypt expressed its strong condemnation of the Houthi militia's ballistic missile attack against the United Arab Emirates on Monday which the UAE Air Defense Forces succeeded in intercepting and destroying.

 

“Egypt reiterates its total rejection of these cowardly terrorist acts, and the blatant threat they pose to the security and stability of the region,” said the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on Monday.

 

Egypt stressed its solidarity with the United Arab Emirates in the measures it is taking to protect its security and stability, the statement added.

 

The UAE Ministry of Defence (MoD) said that it intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi at the UAE.
