Egypt's First Lady Entissar Amer meets with her South Korean counterpart, Kim Jung-sook - Presidency
CAIRO – 20 January 2022: Egypt’s First Lady Entissar Amer discussed on Thursday with her South Korean counterpart, Kim Jung-sook, youth empowerment and Egypt’s efforts to provide decent life to citizens, Amer said on Facebook.
Amer said she discussed with First Lady Kim Jung-sook the Egyptian state’s efforts in economic and social development and the great role played by the youth in this regard.
“We discussed the Egyptian state's measures to provide a decent life for all Egyptians through a series of government initiatives, by which the Egyptian state is paving its way towards the New Republic, Amer said.
She also extended thanks to the South Korean first lady for her kind feelings and words about Egypt, a matter which affirmed the special relations binding the two countries.
Egypt has welcomed on Wednesday President Moon Jae-in of South Korea. It the first visit by a South Korean president in 16 years and comes in light of the partnership that has signed between Cairo and Seoul in 2016.
On Thursday, President Moon Jae-in met with Sisi, where they discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations, especially in the development of the railway sector, electric vehicle industry in Egypt, communications, information technology, digitization, tourism, infrastructure, and in mining sector.
President Sisi and President Moon also discussed ways of enhancing military and security cooperation, especially in joint manufacturing, transfer and localization of technology as Egypt plays a pivotal role in the region and its responsibility to achieve stability, security and combat terrorism.
