Jana, Nubian girl who met Sisi in Aswan, attends World Youth Forum

CAIRO – 13 January 2021: A Nubian girl, Jana, attended the World Youth Forum on Wednesday upon an invitation by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi after she received him in Kiki Island in Nubia earlier in December.

Sisi visited Aswan, southern Egypt, Dec. 27, 2021 after heavy rains. He also visited Gharb Suhail village, a tourist attraction that boasts rich Nubian culture, and other Nubian villages.

This is the fourth edition of WYF, which is recognized as an international venue for dialogue by the UN and the Union for the Mediterranean. Around 15,000 young men and women participated in the third edition of the World Youth Forum from 160 countries. It has contributed to the UN Human Rights Council in its 41st edition.
