CAIRO – 11 January 2022: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi visited on Tuesday, handicrafts fair held as part of the World Youth Forum [WYF] in Sharm El Sheikh.
Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady said that President Sisi toured the offices of the young entrepreneurs, an exhibition showcasing products made by the Sinai residents, Torathna (Our Heritage) exhibition and the Decent Life Museum.
The president had conversations with the exhibitors on how the state could support their activities
President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi said Tuesday that the coming eight years are crucial to combat climate change, stressing salience of cooperation between governments and the private sector.
The president was commenting on the panelists' talk in the discussion titled “The Pathway from Glasgow to Sharm El Sheikh: Combating Climate Change,” held on the second day of the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum (WYF).
“God created humans to be able to build and develop...They will keep building until they think they mastered existence. Only then, existence will be effaced,” President Sisi said.
The chief of state highlighted that although carbon emissions are very low in Egypt, roads have been expanded to reduce congestion, and subsequently, emissions. In the same context, he added that Egypt approached international automotive firms to jointly produce locally-made electric cars.
Egypt’s 4th edition of the World Youth Forum [WYF] kicked off, Monday with the participation of Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi, Lebanon’s Prime Minster Najib Mikati, Crown Prince of Jordan Hussein bin Abdullah II and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
The forum is held under the slogan of ‘Back Together’, with the participation of young people from 196 countries in Sharm El-Sheikh. WYF activities are expected to take place until January 13.
2021’s WYF agenda includes number of vital topics, which reflect the features of the new reality after Coronavirus pandemic, that affected the lives of millions all over the world.
Participants at the 4th edition of WYF have the choice to participate either physically or remotely via the virtual system due to COVID-19.
