CAIRO - 11 January 2022: Former US secretary of state and US special presidential envoy for climate affairs John Kerry has expressed happiness at his participation in the World Youth Forum currently in session in the Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh.
Kerry's statements came during a videoconference speech to a round table titled "The road from Glasgow to Sharm el Sheikh to confront climate changes" with the participation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and senior world officials.
He thanked President Sisi over his interest in the issue of the climate change and the Egyptian government's commitment to sponsoring the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 27).
He also thanked Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Minister of Environment Yasmine Fuoad whom he described as a solid partner in the Glasow conference in Britain.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Tuesday attended activities of the second day of the World Youth Forum (WYF) in its 4th edition held under the slogan of "Back Together".
The president attended a discussion round entitled "The road from Glasgow to Sharm el Sheikh to confront climate changes" with the participation of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli who delivered the opening speech at the session.
The four-day forum kicked off here on Monday with the president delivering a speech at the opening session.
