Via hologram: Einstein, Rumi and Mother Teresa in WYF sending messages to youths

CAIRO – 10 January 2022: Great Physician Albert Einstein, Islamic Scholar Jalal al-Din al-Rumi and Mother Mary Teresa were brought back to life, via the hologram technology, in the opening session of the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum (WYF), teaching youths of this age lessons from history.

Using the VR 360 technology, the three historic figures were featured during the opening session of the WYF, held in Sharm el-Sheikh city, speaking about wars, and how to change the future to be better amid challenges facing youths.

Einstein said: “Yesterday I was clever and I wanted to change the world.. Today I am wise, so I will change myself.”

While Rumi said: “The greatest sciences cannot benefit us if we do not have courage and imagination.”

And finally Mother Teresa advised youths: “Realize your dream, because life is precious.. do not waste it, we are afraid of the future, because we waste the day we live.”

The WYF is held under the slogan of ‘Back Together’, with the participation of young people from 196 countries in Sharm El-Sheikh. WYF activities are expected to take place until January 13.

The 2021’s WYF agenda includes number of vital topics, which reflect the features of the new reality after Coronavirus pandemic, that affected the lives of millions all over the world.

Participants at the 4th edition of WYF had the choice to participate in the opening session either physically or remotely via the virtual system due to COVID-19.
