CAIRO – 10 January 2022: The Egyptian Center for Thought and Strategic Studies (ECSS) participates for the third time in the World Youth Forum (WYF), which kicks off in its fourth edition in Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday.
ECSS announced its participation in the fourth edition of the WYF via its Facebook page, inviting attendees to the center’s pavilion, which is held during the forum from January 10 to 13. The center participated in the last two editions of the forum, in 2018 and 2019.
Khaled Okasha, the director of ECSS, stated that the forum’s activities are very important, as it discuss all issues of concern to the international community in an open and transparent manner.
During the preparatory sessions of the WYF, the center organized a workshop entitled “The Post-Pandemic Africa Future in light of Agenda 2036.”
The forum is held under the slogan of ‘Back Together’, with the participation of young people from 196 countries in Sharm El-Sheikh. WYF activities are expected to take place until January 13.
The 2021’s WYF agenda includes number of vital topics, which reflect the features of the new reality after Coronavirus pandemic, that affected the lives of millions all over the world.
Participants at the 4th edition of WYF had the choice to participate in the opening session either physically or remotely via the virtual system due to COVID-19.
