According to the court's new ruling, the capital punishment was commuted to a harsh ten-year prison sentence while the life sentence given to eight others was commuted to a five-year prison term.
The Giza Criminal Court had previously handed down death sentences for the six convicts and life for the eight.
The convicts had been charged with joining an outlawed group, possessing ammunition and arms, using force against police and sabotaging state property.
