CAIRO - 17 December 2021: The pavilion of the Administrative Control Authority (ACA) at the 9th session of the Conference of State Parties (CoSP) to the United Nations Convention against Corruption has seen a high turnout.
This came as representatives of states heavely participated in the event that is held in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el Sheikh.
Visitors toured the pavilion, which highlights Egypt's efforts to prevent and combat corruption, as well as to implement relevant provisions of the UN Convention.
The pavilion contains interactive screens on which interactive information about the ACA's National Anti-Corruption Academy is displayed.
The information displayed spots light on Egypt's efforts to combat corruption, as well as its cooperation with international bodies in this regard.
Head of Egypt’s ACA Hassan Abdel Shafi discussed on Thursday cooperation with Governor of Greek National Transparency Authority Angelos Binis and Angolan Minister of Justice and Human Rights Francisco Manuel.
The separate meetings came on the sidelines of the ninth session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption in Sharm El-Sheikh.
During his meeting with Manuel, Abdel Shafi discussed future cooperation on issues of mutual concern and anti-corruption topics.
His virtual meeting with Binis discussed possible means of cooperation between the two sides.
Abdel Shafi and Binis agreed on signing an MoU between the two sides in the coming period.
