Egypt condemns Houthi attacks toward Saudi Jazan, Abha

CAIRO – 16 December 2021: Egypt condemned continued Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia’s territories, the last of which were launched toward Jazan and Abha cities.

In a statement, the foreign ministry affirmed Egypt’s condemnation of the attack that targeted the industrial area of Jazan city, causing material losses.

This is in addition to intercepting two ballistic missiles launched toward the city of Abha.

“Egypt affirms that the repeated targeting of civilian institutions and innocent civilians by Houthis is considered a threat to the security and stability of sisterly Saudi Arabia,” the statement read.

The ministry added that these Houthi attacks toward the kingdom also represent “a flagrant violation of the rules of the international law”.

“Egypt reaffirms its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the measures it takes to face these despicable terrorist attacks and stresses the firm relation between the security and stability of the two sisterly countries,” the ministry added.
