Egypt FM meets OIC chief in Abidjan

CAIRO - 11 July 2017: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Monday with Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen on the sidelines of the 4th Session of the OIC’s Council of Foreign Ministers, currently in session in Abidjan.

Shoukry has asserted Egypt’s appreciation and full support for efforts exerted by the OIC chief to upgrade the performance of the organization, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said.

He called for boosting these efforts as well as the mechanisms of the joint Islamic action to face the current challenges amid a restive regional situation and spread of terrorism.
