CAIRO - 4 December 2021: The experiment of both Egypt and Algeria in the field of countering terrorism is "pioneering", Deputy Director of the African Center for the Study and Research on Terrorism (ACSRT) at the African Union Idriss Mounir Lallali said.

Lallali made the comments on the sidelines of a press conference that he attended Friday on the second day of a high-profile seminar on peace and security in Africa, held in the Algerian city of Oran.

He called on countries that have experiences in countering terrorism, such as Egypt and Algeria, to share their experience so that other member states will benefit from them.

The presence of militants in Libya and Mozambique poses a real danger and threatens the stability of these countries and the whole region, he said.

He noted that there is a consensus among the AU member states in terms of combating terrorism, a matter that prompts boosting cooperation and partnership among them.
