Egypt sets to hold World Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research

CAIRO – 4 December 2021: Egypt is preparing to hold the World Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah al- Sisi in the New Administrative Capital this December, after being postponed over the past two years due to circumstances the Corona pandemic.

The forum will be a scientific, cultural and research event, in the presence of public figures, including: 55 ministers, ISESCO members, youth from all over the world, and a huge exhibition on the sidelines of the forum, encompassing more than 90 exhibitors from different universities, Egyptian and foreign.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research also announced the launch of a special application for the forum in order to follow up on all the activities and the daily agenda and to see the details of the forum.

The main objective of the forum is to provide quality education and keep pace with modern specializations that are required in the local, regional and international labor market, said Dr. Mohamed El-Tayeb, Assistant Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

He further talks about the gap between education and employment, adding that a successful country “can bridge the gap and reduce it as much as possible, in a way that contributes to providing a job in the labor market for graduates.”

The second edition of the forum is scheduled to include a huge agenda that addresses a number of important topics in the field of education and scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship worldwide, in the presence of experts and specialists from the world.

Gains Egypt to acquire from the forum

Egypt's hosting of the Forum and the participation of delegations from different countries of the world is a restoration of Egypt's leading role, as there are discussions, dialogues and benefits from the experiences of all participating countries.

The forum also promotes for studying at Egyptian universities, as it also sends a message that Egypt is not only concerned about the Egyptian student, but rather keen to help foreigners study inside Egypt in one of its bids to flourish educational tourism inside Egypt through promoting private universities and technological universities within the country.

The forum is a message to the whole world “that Egypt is safe and stable, and the epidemiological situation is under control.
