CAIRO – 3 December 2021: Egyptian and Saudi high-level officials held a preparatory meeting in Cairo ahead of holding a political consultation committee between the two countries.
The political consultations committee will be headed by the foreign ministers of both countries.
Thursday’s meeting between high-level officials of both countries was headed by Sami bin Abdullah Al-Saleh, the assistant Saudi minister of state for African states’ affairs.
Ambassador Alaa Moussa, assistant foreign minister for Arab affairs, headed the Egyptian delegation during the meeting.
During the meeting, the two delegations voiced appreciation of the special relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, affirming the importance of enhancing these ties on all levels in a way that achieves the aspirations of both countries.
The meeting tackled regional and international issues of mutual concern as well as current challenges facing the region.
