WYF calls on young talents to register to perform at World Youth Theatre

CAIRO – 29 November 2021: All promising young talents from different cultures around the world keen to participate in the World Youth Theatre, which is part of the World Youth Forum that is to be held in January 2022, can now apply for auditions.

The World Youth Forum’s management announced opening the registration for participation in artistic and cultural performances at the World Youth Theatre, extending the registration period for auditions until December 15, 2021.

The fourth edition of the World Youth Forum is scheduled to be held in Sharm el-Sheikh, South Sinai, from January 10-13, 2022.  

About the World Youth Theatre

The World Youth Theater is a meeting point founded by youths for youths.

It brings together promising artists from around the world to present their talents and express their cultures through a variety of cultural and artistic activities.

The World Youth Theater launched its first edition at the World Youth Forum in 2018 and achieved unprecedented success, which encouraged the Forum’s management to repeat the experience in the second edition of the World Youth Theater in 2019, and over two years, the World Youth Theater included 300 talents from 27 different nationalities.

The third edition of the World Youth Theatre will kick off next year under the slogan “Arts and Culture are part of development and human right.”

The theatre presented 44 performances, and hosted more than 127 nationalities. It was decided to hold the third edition of the World Youth Theater in 2022, to be a creative platform for presenting the ideas and issues of the world's youth, discussing their problems, creating a space for interaction and presenting solutions through thought and art.

About the World Youth Forum

The World Youth Forum is an annual global event held in Sharm El-Sheikh in South Sinai, under the auspices of the President of the Republic, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The forum was launched in three editions in the past years 2017, 2018, and 2019. The forum aims to bring together the world's youth in order to promote dialogue and discuss development issues, and to send a message of peace and prosperity from Egypt to the world.

The United Nations Commission for Social Development has adopted the three previous editions of the World Youth Forum in Egypt as an international platform for discussing youth issues.
