CAIRO, 25 November 2021: Under the auspices of the NCW, NCCM, CARE Egypt announced on Wednesday the launch of the 16-day campaign of activities to combat violence against women, under the title of “I am Aware.. I am precious”.
The world celebrates every year on November 25th coinciding with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, until December 10th, which coincides with the International Day of Human Rights.
Care Egypt celebrated the launch of “I am Aware.. I am Precious” campaign in collaboration with Safe Kids, Plan International and Eva Cosmetics today in presence of Dr. Maya Morsy, President of the National Council for Women and Dr. Sahar Al Sonbaty, Secretary General of the National Council of Childhood and Motherhood.
This event came as part of the kick-off of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence.
The event gathered Dr. Hazem Fahmy, Country Director of CARE International in Egypt, Dr. Mohamed Kamal, Chairman of Plan International in Egypt, Sara Aziz Founder and CEO of Safe Kids and Amany Hafez, Regional Marketing Director of Eva Group.
The event held a panel discussion about “Triangle of change: Art, Mental health, and development”. This panel has been moderated by the Parliament candidate Dina Abdelkarim. The panel guests include ACT writer & CEO Azza Kamel, AUC psychology Lecturer Mona Amer, Art Therapist Carol Hammal, and Interactive Theatre Expert Mayer Magdy.
The event closing has included the launching song “I am Aware, I am Precious” by the amazing singer Nesma Mahgoub.
