CAIRO – 20 November 2021: Egypt’s Meteorological Authority (EMA) revealed that the latest satellite images indicate rainy thunder clouds on separate areas of the northern coasts, Lower Egypt, Delta, south and west Cairo, accompanied by rainfall.
Saturday is witnessing state of unstable weather, where temperature degrees declined to 20 degrees.
Vacuum trucks were dispatched in Cairo to pump out water from the streets.
Moderate to heavy rain, sometimes thunderstorms, witnessed in areas of northern coasts and northern Lower Egypt, which may be accompanied by hail at intermittent periods.
The traffic department ordered an emergency room in anticipation of rainfall and deployed traffic cranes to remove obstacles from streets.
A number of governorates, including Alexandria, Damietta, Kafr El-Sheikh, Matrouh and Dakahlia, have suspended schools on Saturday and Sunday.

Cairo records highs of 22 °C and lows of 15°C
Alexandria records highs of 20°C and lows of 16 °C
Matrouh records highs of 19 °C and lows of 16 °C
Sohag records highs of 24 °C and the low 15 °C
Qena records highs of 25 °C and lows of 15 °C
Aswan records highs of 26 °C and lows of 16 °C
