CAIRO – 15 November 2021: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met, Monday with Vice President of the Libyan Presidential Council Moussa Al-Koni at the Foreign Ministry premises, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ambassador Ahmed Hafez tweeted.
The two sides discussed the latest developments in Libya and ongoing preparations for holding the parliamentary and presidential elections as scheduled in December.

Shoukry stressed during the meeting that Egypt will spare no effort to meet the aspirations of the Libyan people and help them restore their country's stability.
Shoukry also voiced Egypt's support for Libya to expel terrorist groups and assume sovereignty over its own territories via national institutions.
Egypt stands by Libya to restore stability and fulfill the demands of its people to achieve development, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Hafez said.
Shoukry praised the outcome of the Paris conference on Libya and pressed for holding the presidential and parliamentary elections on time.
All foreign troops and mercenaries should leave Libya as soon as possible in line with relevant international resolutions, he said.
For his part, Koni appreciated a role played by Egypt to ensure stability in Libya, which he said reflects the distinguished relations between the two countries.
He also voiced Libya's keenness to make use of the great potentials enjoyed by Egypt in various domains.
