EU Commissioner for Migration visits Egypt Monday

CAIRO - 14 November 2021: EU Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Ylva Johansson will visit Egypt on Monday to participate in a high-level migration dialogue, announced the EU mission to Egypt in a statement on Saturday.

 

The Commissioner will have meetings with high-level representatives from the Egyptian government and representatives from civil society and international organizations, the statement said.

 

The visit will be an opportunity to discuss joint priorities when addressing migration-related challenges and opportunities, in the short and longer term. It is part of the Commission's partnership approach under the New Pact on Migration and Asylum, the statement added.
