CAIRO - 9 November 2021: Presidential Adviser for Health and Prevention Affairs Mohamed Awad Tag El Din said that the total number of vaccinated people is expected to reach 40 million by the end of December.


In a phone interview with "Al Kahera Wal Nas" channel on Monday, he said so far, more than 32 million people have received the Covid-19 vaccine.

He further noted that the State is ready to apply a decision on not allowing unvaccinated government employees into their workplace.

Egypt will receive 27 million doses of the Coronavirus vaccines within 3 weeks, upping the number of doses obtained so far to 100 million doses, said Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Acting Minister of Health, on Thursday.
 
In media remarks to "Yahath fi Masr" program on the MBC Masr channel, the Minister added that  Egypt is expanding the vaccination process by allocating 1,100 vaccination centers nationwide.
 
Egypt has so far received 72 million doses of the new Coronavirus vaccines, he said.
 
The Minister added that half a million citizens are being vaccinated against COVID-19 daily, noting that the state is able to accommodate larger numbers of vaccination centers and vaccine recipients.
