CAIRO - 6 November 2021: Entissar El-Sisi, Egypt’s First Lady and her counterpart of Central African Republic, Brigitte Touadera, reviewed on Saturday efforts of the two countries in backing and empowering women.

In a Facebook statement, Amer affirmed that Egypt has made a great achievement over the past years regarding women empowerment at all levels.

“Egyptian women have been at the heart of the Egyptian initiatives that consolidates the social justice principle, such as Hayah Karima, Takaful w Karama, and Nour Al-Hayah,” El-Sisi said.

She added that such initiatives are adopted by Egypt on its way toward the new republic.

“The Egyptian woman are currently witnessing her golden era,” El-Sisi added.

In July, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi affirmed that Egypt over the coming two years will focus on two main issues: empowering women economically and combating the negative impacts of terrorism and extremism against women.

In his speech at the 8th Session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ministerial Conference on Women, Sisi announced the establishment of ‘the Organization of Women’s development,’ the first specialized organization within the framework of OIC work to promote and protect women's rights.

“Egypt gave great attention to women amid the COVID-19 pandemic. There is a lot of work we have to do for helping women enjoy their rightful status in our society,” he said.
