Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi urges establishing integrated services system along new roads - Presidency
CAIRO – 6 November 2021: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi urged establishing an integrated system of services along new roads and axes to secure all means of safety and comfort for citizens.
This should also secure new job opportunities and expand the scope of development through achieving optimum use of the areas on the sides of the roads and axes, the president explained as he met with a number of key officials.
During the meeting, Sisi followed up on the executive status of a number of national projects nationwide, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said.
Sisi was briefed on the latest updates regarding the development of the network of roads, axes and bridges at the level of the Republic, especially the Upper Egypt Road, with a total length of about 160 km.
The President ordered periodic maintenance of those roads, axes and bridges to ensure the sustainability of their quality. He also ordered implementing the largest possible expansion of these roads to achieve the required smooth traffic flow.
The meeting also followed up on ongoing efforts to benefit from a number of unexploited lands and spaces nationwide.
Sisi followed up on the progress of the Port Said Towers project, as well as the executive position of the projects carried out by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority in cooperation with the private sector in the real estate development system.
