6 terrorist elements killed in shootout with police in Assiut

CAIRO- 10 July 2017: Security agencies managed to kill six terrorist elements in a shootout with the police in Assiut.

In a statement issued on Monday, the ministry mentioned that the extremists were preparing for carrying out terrorist acts in the Upper Egyptian governorates.

Upon a tip-off, the hideout of the criminals was raided where weapons were found in their possession.

The Interior Ministry stressed that it will continue defending the homeland from the terrorists who seek destabilizing the country.
