Sisi ratifies the second Parliamentary session dissolution

CAIRO – 10 July 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi ratified on Sunday a presidential decree (No 303 of 2017) to dissolve the second Parliamentary session of the first legislative term of House of Representatives, which concluded on June 6.

The presidential decree was published in the official Gazette, al-Waqā’i‘a al-Maṣrīyah, on Sunday.

The second session resumed for about nine months as stipulated by the Constitution, and the next stage is scheduled to start in a month.

The Non-Governmental Organization law and anti-human trafficking and illegal immigration law were among the laws approved during the second stage.

A detailed report will be published regarding the Parliament performance during the session months soon.

Parliament started its first session in January 2016 and concluded on September in 2016.
