Egyptian-Sudanese Joint Exercise 'Guardian of the South – 1' kicks off

CAIRO – 19 October 2021: Egyptian-Sudanese Joint Exercise "Guardian of the South – 1" kicked off Monday at Egypt's Mohamed Nagib Military Base.

The exercise that will conclude on October 29 is executed by Egyptian Border Guard Force elements, and Sudanese infantry elements trained on border security.

The first phase consists of a number of lectures, and practical exercises on achieving integration, and harmonization among forces as well as unifying combat concepts, and sharpening the skills of participants.

An exhibition of arms, devices, and equipment - used in border security and combating smuggling and border infirtlation – is also held.
