CAIRO – 12 October 2021: Egypt’s Meteorological Authority (EMA) issued a warning of unstable weather starting from Monday evening until Tuesday afternoon.
According to EMA, sharp and rapid changes in the weather were spotted on satellite images, radar and pressure distribution maps, where light to medium intensity rainfall is expected with thunderstorm over areas in Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, Canal cities, northern Upper Egypt, Sinai and the Gulf of Suez region.
Cairo has already witnessed thunder rain during late hours of Monday, where citizens took to social media, posting on the acute changes in the weather that recorded above 30 during the morning hours of the same day.
As for the temperatures on Tuesday:
Great Cairo records highs of 32 degrees and lows of 21 degrees
Alexandria records highs of 30 degrees and lows of 21 degrees
Matrouh records highs of 28 degrees and lows of 21 degrees
Sohag records highs of 36 degrees and lows of 22 degrees
Qena records highs of 39 degrees and lows of 23 degrees
Aswan records highs of 42 degrees and lows of 27 degrees
