Building of plants producing sugarcane seedlings begins in Egypt

CAIRO – 26 September 2021: Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Abdel Moneim al-Taras stated Sunday that the building of plants producing sugarcane seedlings has begun.

The plants are located in Aswan, and span over 23 feddans (one feddan equals 4,500 square meters). The seedlings will be grown in greenhouses using smart irrigation systems.

In fact, the project is within the AOI's participation in the implementation of modern irrigation systems across the country aimed at the rationalization of water use.
