CAIRO – 21 September 2021: Egypt’s foreign minister Sameh Shoukry meet, Tuesday with his Tunisian counterpart Othman Jerandi Tuesday on the sidelines the 76th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), which kicked off earlier today.
Both officials probed ways to push forward bilateral cooperation and bolster mechanisms of the joint Arab action, according to spokesperson Ahmed Hafez.

Shoukry also discussed with Jerandi the need to maintain constant coordination to deal with common challenges.
As part of his continuous meetings in New York, Shoukry also meet with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and Vice-President of the European Commission Josep Borrell, as they discussed Tuesday within the framework of the Egypt-EU partnership.

According to Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Hafez, the two officials discussed the need to expand the scope of cooperation with the European Union to serve mutual interests.
The minister also underscored the importance of stimulating European investments in Egypt, especially in light of the country's outstanding business-friendly environment and vast market.
The two sides also discussed ways to push cooperation forward within the framework of the Egypt-EU partnership, building on the results of the Egyptian minster's recent visit to Brussels in July.
Shoukry also probed with the senior EU official a raft of regional as well as international issues of mutual concern, topped by the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam on the Blue Nile and the Palestinian issue, the spokesman added.
Earlier on Tuesday, Shoukry meet, with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Rwandan foreign minister Vincent Biruta to explore ways of enhancing bilateral relations and discuss issues of mutual concern.
Shoukry has arrived in New York to take part in the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
