Egypt president grants 11 injured conscripts, families of 3 martyred ones exceptional pension

CAIRO – 19 September 2021: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi issued Sunday decree no. 396/2021 granting 11 injured conscripts, who were serving their conscription time at the Egyptian Armed Forces, and the families of three martyred ones an exceptional pension worth LE900 ($56.26) per month.

It is noted that Egypt has been involved in a war on terror in North Sinai for a decade, and hence, tens of injuries and deaths among officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers (conscripts), occurred.

In March, President Abdel fatah al-Sisi met with the family members of dozens of military and police officers who were made martyrs during confrontations with terrorists, as well as the families of doctors who lost their lives after contracting Covid-19.
