CAIRO – 18 September 2021: Sudanese Foreign Minister Mariam Al-Saddiq Al-Mahdi said on Saturday her country pays special attention to developing relations with the neighboring countries, topped by Egypt.
Speaking with journalists about a report on the Sudanese Foreign Ministry's efforts over the past period, Mahdi noted Sudan is keen on fostering ties with Egypt in all fields, pointing to the close and great coordination between the two countries in managing the GERD issue.
The Sudanese ministry works on holding a national conference on foreign relations to restore Sudan's balanced foreign policy in terms of its openness, she noted.
She spoke about the importance of her country's relations with African countries, including Eritrea, Niger, Chad, South Sudan, Kenya, and Libya as well as major powers like China, the EU and the US.
