CAIRO – 30 August 2021: Egypt’s Prime minster Mostafa Madbouli said, Monday that the government noticed that Egyptians started to abandon COVID-19 precautionary measures.
He added that abandoning these measures caused an increase in the infections recorded recently.
At a press conference held on Monday following his tour inside a complex of the Holding Company for Biological Products and Vaccines (VACSERA) complex at the industrial zone in the 6th of October City, He noted that Egypt has a huge plan regarding vaccinating all workers at the education sector.
He said that the factory aims to produce 3 million doses per day, explaining that by the end of next November, the factory will start operating.
The complex is set up on an area of 15 feddans and is meant to revive local production of vaccines, which is an issue of national security to Egypt, the premier explained.
Madbouli said the Health Ministry is negotiating with a number of international companies to partner with Egypt in the production of Covid vaccine.
The production of Covid vaccine will not only serve Egypt, but will also be exported to Africa and regional countries, Madbouli said.
He called on university students to quickly register their names to receive the Covid jabs.
Prime Minister Madbouli Monday inspected a complex of the Holding Company for Biological Products and Vaccines (VACSERA) at the industrial zone in the 6th of October City.
Madbouli was accompanied by Health Minister Hala Zayed and Giza Governor Ahmed Rashed.
The VACSERA complex is planned to manufacture daily production of up to three million doses of the different vaccines [mainly 8 types of key vaccines to citizens], not only against Covid-19.
