CAIRO - 28 August 2021: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's participation in the "Baghdad Cooperation and Partnership" conference reflects Egypt's keen interest in supporting Iraq and promoting mutual cooperation at all levels, director-general of the Egyptian Center for Strategic Studies (ECSS) Khaled Okasha said.

Speaking to MENA on Saturday, Okasha added that Egypt's high-level representation in the regional summit by President Sisi himself manifests the importance of Egypt-Iraq-Jordan Alliance as the most promising bloc in the region.

Okasha pointed to the set of constants highlighted by President Sisi in his opening remarks at the event, topped by Egypt's solidarity with all sisterly Arab nations during their war, given that the Gulf and regional security is an integral part of Egypt's national security.

He described the president's speech before the summit as truthful and reaffirming Egypt's commitment to keeping Iraq's interest at heart and ensuring the success of the upcoming parliamentary elections in Iraq, slated for October.
