CAIRO - 6 August 2021: Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea has discussed with Omani Ambassador to Egypt Abdullah al Rahbi means of promoting bilateral cooperation in various fields, topped by industrial and trade cooperation.

The meeting reviewed ways to benefit from well-established relations between Egypt and Oman in a way that enhances bilateral economic cooperation, particularly in the sectors of trade, industry and investment, Gamea said in a statement released on Friday.

She also affirmed her ministry’s keenness to provide all aspects of support to Omani companies working in Egypt, as well as to remove all obstacles to trade exchange between the two countries.

The meeting touched on the possibility of holding video conference talks between the Egyptian and Omani trade ministers to review investment opportunities available in both countries, Gamea said, asserting the importance of activating the joint business council’s role in boosting trade exchange and joint investments in the coming stage.

Meanwhile, the Omani ambassador emphasized his country’s keenness to open up investment and economic opportunities with Egypt, noting that the Omani political leadership has directed the government to bolster economic cooperation with Arab countries, especially in the fields of infrastructure, development projects and food security.
