Cabinet denies halting construction of El Dabaa nuclear plant project

CAIRO - 6 August 2021: The Cabinet's media center denied on Friday reports circulated by social media sites on halting the construction of El Dabaa nuclear plant project in Egypt.

In a statement on Friday, the center said that it has contacts with the Electricity and Renewable Energy Ministry that dismissed the reports as baseless.

The ministry also urged all media outlets and users of social media to be careful and verify the authenticity of such reports before publishing them.
