CAIRO – 30 July 2021: Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will receive, Saturday Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ramtane Lamamra in Al Tahrir Place.
Both officials are expected to hold talks and discuss means of boosting distinguished Egyptian-Algerian ties on all fronts, as well as regional and international issues of common concern.
Following their talks, Shoukry and Lamamra will hold a joint press conference.
During a phone call earlier in July, Shoukry and Lamamra discussed the developments of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam and the situation in Libya.
During the call, Shoukry congratulated the new minister for assuming the post.
Shoukry expressed Egypt’s aspiration to continue coordination and consultation with Algeria and to boost the various frameworks of the bilateral relations in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and their people’s aspiration.
The ministers discussed the developments of the Libyan situation and the GERD issue.
They also exchanged visions on regional issues and underscored the need for concerted efforts toward giving the priority to peaceful solutions to the Arab issues in a way that preserves the unity of the Arab nations and their territorial integrity.
