CAIRO – 30 July 2021: Egypt’s Prosecutor General Hamada el Sawi and his Libyan counterpart Al-Sadiq al-Sour signed a memorandum of understanding to promote cooperation between the two countries’ prosecutions.
The MoU is concerned with strengthening cooperation to combat all forms of crimes, especially terrorism, transnational organized crimes, corruption, human trafficking and cybercrimes.
The deal was signed during a meeting between the two top prosecutors in Cairo on Wednesday during a high-profile delegation visitation to Egypt’s Prosecutor General Hamada el Sawi
The two sides also reviewed the structuring of the two prosecutions, management of their offices and visions to develop them.
Both officials said speeches in which they offered to help each other regarding countering terrorism al illegal immigration. Egypt’s Hamada al-Sawi said that Cairo is welling to offer trainings to the members of the Libyan Public Prosecution.
For his Side, Al-Sadiq al-Sour thanked his Egyption counterpart for the invitation and for all the presentation that was projected during the meeting adding that these presentations will reflect positive results on the work of the office in Libya, and its restructure.
