Egypt expresses condolences to Chinese people for victims of Henan Floods

CAIRO- 22 July 2021: Egypt expresses on Wednesday its sincere condolences and sympathies to the friendly People's Republic of China and to the families of the innocent victims of the floods that struck central China’s Henan Province, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries; and wishes a speedy recovery for all the injured.

 

The Egyptian government and people affirm that they stand in solidarity with the government and people of friendly China in these painful circumstances, said Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ahmed Hafez.

 

The floods have claimed the lives of 33 people so far, and displaced thousands of people, Reuters reported. The direct economic losses were estimated at $189 million, it added.
