Egypt's FM in Rome to attend Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, discuss Syria

CAIRO – 28 June 2021: Prime Minister Sameh Shoukry is participating in the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS on Monday, as well as the meeting on Syria on the sidelines of the conference in Rome.

The meeting on Syria will discuss a political solution to the decade-long crisis according to the relevant UN resolution.

Ahead of the conference, which tackles concerted efforts countering ISIS, Shoukry met with the president of Niger, Hassoumi Massaoudou, to discuss cooperation and regional issues.
