Iraqi forces close to retake Daesh last stronghold in Mosul

BAGHDAD - 8 July 2017: The Iraqi forces continued their operations against the last stronghold of Daesh terrorist group in Mosul's Old City, Sky News channel reported on Saturday.

According to military sources, the Iraqi forces are hunting down Daesh militants and dismantling the explosives found in their way.

The Iraqi forces are so close to recapture many areas in the old city after they retook al-Najafi street, one of the main streets in the city, the sources added
