'Martyr Ahmed Hamdy II' tunnel passing beneath Suez Canal to be finished by end of June 2021

CAIRO – 24 June 2021: Chairman of Suez Canal Authority Osama Rabie stated Thursday that Martyr Ahmed Hamdy Tunnel II will be ready for inauguration by the end of June to be the sixth road passing beneath the Suez Canal to connect its east and west banks.

The other roads are two tunnels dubbed "Tahya Misr" in Ismailiyah, two tunnels dubbed "3rd of July" in Port Said, and "Martyr Ahmed Hamdi I" in Suez.

Rabie elaborated that construction works are completed and that finishing works are underway.
