Egypt’s ranking in scientific publishing advances to 30th globally: Scimago

CAIRO – 1 June 2021: Egypt’s international ranking in scientific publishing for the year 2020 has advanced by four places, ranking the 30th globally, according to the Scimago classification for scientific publication.

The ranking was published in the monthly scientific research index by the Egyptian Observatory for Science, Technology and Innovation at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.

Egypt advanced four places after it ranked 34th in the last classification of the year 2019.

A total of 44,157 Egyptian researchers published 32,323 papers, where the H-index reached 322, raising Egypt’s ranking in different fields of science, agriculture and biological sciences.

According to Statnano, Egypt ranked the 17th  globally  for the year 2020 in nanotechnology field.

The monthly scientific research index is an index of science and technology that the Egyptian Observatory for Science, Technology and Innovation at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology publishes monthly.
