CAIRO - 28 May 2021: Head of the Pharmaceuticals Section at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce Ismail Abdu on Thursday launched an initiative to expand the pharmaceuticals industry in Egypt and up exports to reach dlrs a billion dollars within the coming ten years.
In statements on the fringe of the inauguration of 20th EGYMEDICA Exhibition, Abdu called for organizing workshops to gather all representatives of the government and private bodies concerned with the pharmaceuticals industry under the sponsorship of the minister of trade and industry.
He asserted that the industrial and commercial community in Egypt are keen on accelerating the implementation of the presidential directives to achieve national security as regards the drugs and pharmaceuticals so as to cover more than 65 percent of the local needs.
EGYMEDICA is the official exhibition in Egypt for the procurement of all medical needs in the governmental sector and the private sector.
EGYMEDICA Placed on the agenda of all companies operating in the medical supplies inside and outside Egypt from the Arab countries and neighboring African.
As many as 15 international companies along with 250 local companies are participating in the three-day exhibition held at Cairo International Conference Centre.
