Egyptian Armed Forces releases updates on 'Zayed 3' exercises with UAE

CAIRO – 27 May 2021: Spokesperson of the Egyptian Armed Forces Tamer al-Refai stated Wednesday that the joint exercises of the Egyptian and Emirati Special Forces are still ongoing in the United Arab Emirates.

The exercise dubbed "Jayed 3" is taking place for several days. What have been accomplished so far are lectures on training concepts, coordination, and integration between forces of both sides. A number of practical activities took place either such as reconnaissance, and combat in cities to undermine terrorist elements.

"Zayed 2" exercises took place in 2017 with the participation of land, air, and naval forces of both countries being an extension of "Zayed 1" that was held in 2014. Both were also carried out in the United Arab Emirates.
