CAIRO – 7 July 2017: The Egyptian Competition Protection Authority (CPA) issued its annual report for the new fiscal year 2015-2016, which included important cases addressed by the agency for the new fiscal year 2016-2017.
The report included referring a number of companies to the public prosecution for a lack of commitment to the competition law, including ‘beIN Sports,’ the Financial and Industrial Company for Fertilizers and the Turkish Tourism Company; addressing the Economic Court in the case of the President of the African Football Confederation; and studying the request for conciliation in a communication submitted against Uber Egypt for not submitting the requested documents on time.
