Member of the Coordination Committee, National Anti-Corruption Commission, Cameroon
CAIRO – 6 July 2017: Cameroon’s state minister for presidency and head of the national anti-corruption commission will pay an official visit to Egypt on Sunday at the invitation of Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority (ACA) Mohamed Erfan, Egypt’s Ambassador in Yaoundé Sherif El Leithy asserted.
In a statement released on Thursday, El Leithy said the Cameroonian minister’s visit comes within the framework of the distinguished ties binding Egypt and Cameroon and the great momentum witnessed in their bilateral relations over the past four years.
The Egyptian diplomat asserted the Cameroonian official’s visit comes as part of the keenness of the two countries’ leadership to combat corruption, citing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in Yaoundé in October in this regard.
The Cameroonian side looks forward to making good use of the considerable experience the ACA enjoys in the anti-corruption field, El Leithy stressed, saying that Egypt is willing to provide assistance to Cameroonian cadres in this score.
