CAIRO – 7 May 2021: On an inspection tour of some construction development works in eastern Cairo, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi talked with dozens of citizens, promising to meet their demands.
President Sisi asked senior citizens about their conditions and listened to their demands; one of them asked for an apartment and the President assured him that his request will be met.
After the end of his discussion with the president, the citizens chanted his name "Sisi.. Sisi," while others wished him a good and blessed life.
The projects the President toured started from the Adly Mansour metro station [a transit stop] in the third line of the Cairo metro network, said Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Radi in a statement.
The station is the largest metro stop in the Middle East and Africa as its vicinity includes other stations for an electrified train, a railway, modern mass transit buses, and an attached maintenance center on a 65-acre piece of land for railcars and tractors.
The President also inspected Adly Mansour highway, which was established with 16 traffic lanes and includes 11 bridges for cars and pedestrians.
President Sisi also was updated on the latest development of the construction works by engineers who are working on the site. He was assured that all citizens, whose houses were removed for the establishment of new road and axis projects, received the appropriate compensation.
